Five people. One shared approach.

Personal support. Clear explanations. Finding your next step together.

Good care starts with your first question and continues beyond a treatment. Meet everyone who helps shape your experience at ACC Hannover.

What brings us together

We want you to understand what we assess and why we recommend a particular approach. Your questions, goals and choices are part of that process.

American roots. At home in Hannover.

A profession with a history. A practice that has grown. A team carrying that experience forward together.

1895 · The beginning in Iowa

D. D. Palmer laid the historical foundations of chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Knowledge and methods have continued to develop since then.

1897 · From experience to education

The Palmer School became a dedicated educational institution. Today chiropractic colleges combine foundational sciences with clinical education.

1999 · ACC comes to Hannover

Our practice’s story begins in Hannover. Personal attention and interest in each individual remain central to our work.

2007 · A home in Südstadt

ACC has been at Hildesheimer Straße 100 since 2007. Today Karina, Alexandra, Miriam, Carolin and Inka shape the practice together.

Years of learning. For thoughtful care.

The Doctor of Chiropractic is a dedicated university-level qualification combining basic sciences, clinical subjects and supervised practice. This education is an important part of our professional background.

01 · Foundations before professional study

The standard Palmer entry route already requires college coursework, including science subjects. The DC builds on this foundation.

02 · A multi-year DC programme

Palmer currently describes ten trimesters, about three years and four months, for its DC programme. Life University lists 14 quarters. Prior college study is additional.

03 · Putting knowledge into practice

Anatomy, physiology, examination and clinical decision-making are combined with manual skills and supervised work with patients.

04 · Understand, assess, decide

For you, this means reviewing your history, examining relevant functions, explaining findings and recognising the limits of treatment.

These figures describe current programmes, not each team member’s individual study duration. The DC is a chiropractic qualification, not a German medical licence.

Chiropractic & physiotherapy. Understanding the differences.

Chiropractic care

The focus is on musculoskeletal assessment and function, particularly of the spine and joints. Depending on findings, care may include specific manual techniques, advice and movement recommendations.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy includes exercise therapy, training and manual approaches, for example in rehabilitation and restoring function. In Germany, entry routes include a usually three-year vocational programme or a degree.

There is some overlap, and the approaches can complement each other. Your situation, the practitioner’s qualifications and a coordinated plan matter.

Frequently asked questions

How many appointments will I need?

We can only discuss this meaningfully after a consultation and examination. We agree an individual approach and review whether it is helping. There is no fixed number that suits everyone.

Is chiropractic care right for me?

This depends on your symptoms, health history and examination findings. Before treatment, we discuss potential benefits, risks and alternatives. We recommend medical assessment when appropriate.
